It's wild isn't it? It goes like this:
- Boomers = One Remote, can't figure out how to get the TV back to the cable or on a DVID player
- Gen X = 2000 remotes, one for the TV, one for the stereo the TV feeds sound in, one for the cable, one for the DVD player, one for a VHS player that hasn't been used since Bush got reelected in 08, and a bunch that they have no recollection of the use of but are afraid to throw out
- Millennials = One universal remote that does everything, inexplicable drawer full of unused remotes that came with stuff "just in case", eventually dumped in a good will bin to begin the cycle anew
- Gen Z = "What's a remote?" as they they play on a tablet or their phone.
