Rinse with clean water and let dry Scuff sand it Prime it Fine sand it Coat it with trim paint (don't use regular wall paint, if you're in a state where you can get oil you can use this, there are also hybrid and urethane enamel coatings that are more expensive but will be better) Do a second coat it with the trim paint Source: manager of a Sherwin Williams ...
