When you asked how it should be said, I posted the proper way, which is "-have". The thing is that "could of" is always a mistake, which is why I put "could have" in response to your post.

Ok you were listing the non shortened version. I was talking about the shortened versions so we were just arguing two different things it seems. The last two paragraphs were me giving examples of shortened forms of other words as examples of contractions.

I am definitely not the best at expressing myself in text (or speaking honestly) so I do apologize.
