As long as you can pay for your basic needs, money is fake. Homeownership doesn't look like it will be a thing for me anytime soon. It doesn't matter much for my day to day life whether I have it invested or in a savings account or whatever, and with inflation, I can't rely on it being useful in retirement either (I also realized that I may not live that long). I'm done with the pursuit of money as long as I have enough to live with some level of comfort and enjoyment of life. That's all that matters financially.

What actually matters in life is the people that you surround yourself with. Family, friends, significant others, whoever. It also matters what you do for those around you and the impact you have. Money isn't as important, as long as you have enough to get through life.
