Check on the picnic basket on the ground by the table and you can get eggs from there. Also the basket only holds up to 10 eggs at a time so you'll have to check every few minutes. I actually enjoy this process a lot more than SwSh since I can just afk for like 5 minutes, grab eggs, and then afk again.
