They did used to deny it, but I don't think they bother anymore. They'll try to justify it saying vague things like parts of the game were too slow, too boring, cringey, if the game has anime, that's a good usual target Gamespot head editor was also doing streams, and he sounded like a little baby with too much power. He was bitching about gaming in general, so I dunno why he's in this industry.
