as someone who has never experienced war (and hopes they never will), I feel like the only people who glorify war are those who profit off of it and those who never experienced it, but thinks it looks badass from the media.

but I guess there are the rare kinda weirdos who use it as an excuse to hurt others.

One of the most interesting things to note is how this view point is a more modern phenomena. There's a very good thread on twitter talking about how ancient people glorified war to the extreme, and it makes notes that those that were to profit of it were the ones leading from the front. There's examples of armies demanding to go to war or how the Athenians rejected any peace terms from the Spartans even after being hit by a big plague. Actually it was a reddit thread:
