He didnt glorify war but he b**ed about how he's far enough into his military career he might as well finish and get full retirement but that it sucked not actively being in a war cause it was boring. I'm far enough into my Army career that I might as well finish and get my full retirement and I'm grateful every day that no actual shit has popped off. I'm 100% okay with fighting and dying for my country but I also don't wish for it and hope nobody I know has to deal with the consequences of it. I've met plenty of people in my career who have and it never leaves you. Anybody who thinks war is something to be glorified is a fucking man child. Not a child.
