You misread the situation, realized you (probably) did, and felt it was a little weird that she never once mentioned a long term bf. You didn't harass or harangue her over it. You went "huh, that's a bit odd" and moved on with your life.

I also don't think it's wrong to have some level of expectation of someone to at least mention their SO at some point of a months/years long relationship, unless it's strictly business transactionary.

I appreciate this perfectly succinct post that takes in all equal factors from all sides of the equation.

The internet in general has become very much about teams. My team vs yours. And the more it becomes so us vs them, the less we want to hear and are we able to appreciate all aspects like this.

So yes. I really gotta time to give these kinds of posts the credit they deserve. Very rare unfortunately.
