It has all the tracks from CTR and CNK (reworked to eliminate antigravity), plus a few new tracks, some of which are really good. The loading times are brutal on Switch and reportedly not much better on PS4. Idk if there's still a big player base for online play, but it can be tough to find a match sometimes. It's still cool being able to actually play with people online when it does work though. The cosmetics and additional characters are cool additions. The microtransactions are completely optional and have no effect on gameplay.
