Because the younger you teach kids that those people exist, the harder it is to convince them that they're not worthy of the same human decency as everyone else.

That's why it's "wait until high school". Which turns into "wait until they're 18". Which turns into "We never had gay people in my schools!"

I assumed he meant alt like goths because I 'hate the world' or whatever, that's what alt actually means. I'm not on an alt account, I'm on a new account. Wjy is this guy trying to play internet police or something? I'm not even being insincere, I'm just not on GameFAQs constantly and haven't been in awhile.
