I've thought about getting into them just because some labels/musicians I listen to refuse to release on vinyl and seem to release only on tapes, but honestly I don't feel like dropping what I need to drop on a good vintage player right now. ALL of the modern tape players all have these cheap ass mechs from the same distributer/manufacturer and they're straight up garbage.
