I think its much harder for new anythings in todays context because the source material youre looking from has to go against a long history of a variety of jokes, writings, art, etc. Its like watching that Andrew Dice Clay guy.. its not funny and just serves to a bunch of angry dudes who tell their wives to get in the kitchen except in this case this person going off about the prospect of having kids.
