Decided to check out all the titles that ranked in the Next Manga Awards for up and coming manga.

Obviously all of them have something going for them to get recognized, even if my brief dive in to some of them didn't give me the full potential, but the ones that stood out to me the most personally were:

Medalist
Magilumiere Co. Ltd.
Gachiakuta
A Story About Smoking at the Back of the Supermarket
I Favor the Villainess (though I've been reading this for a while)
The Summer Hikaru Died
Dai Dark

And then the ones that stand at my personal top 3:

Akane Banashi
Medalist
You and I are Polar Opposites

Of note, just because of it's placement, I don't really get what the hype is with second place winner WITCH WATCH. It seems perfectly fine but isn't standing out for me much at all. However, this manga has a lot more chapters already out then most if not all of the other winners, so I will continue on to see if maybe there is a turn that explains it.

Unrelated, I started up a few other manga on a whim, but don't have much to say yet, those being:

So yeah, a fullllll plate, not even including all the stuff I'm caught up on that's still active.
