i think it's because of how closely marvel is working with the movie creators. they're following comic arcs that have been established, picked apart, analyzed, and everything, many years ago. they're not afraid of taking stories from their comics and weaving them all together.

i don't think DC has the same stranglehold over anything. there's no one saying "hey this comic arc went this way so it should lead to this." each piece seems like a separate entity with everyone trying to make their own vision of something and it becomes disjointed. same problem going on with star wars right now.
