Let me just tell you that even my friends, who are seasoned horror flick viewers, were not only frightened like crazy but even they thought it was really good. I had to cover my face because the movie gets severely intense. I expected more from the story imo, but it at least does a good job subverting one expectations. Come watch the movie if you want to be scared the fuck out.

I saw it after a friend told me about it and how he heard it subverted expectations - we saw it yesterday and I was
slightly dissapointed... it was definitely unsettling and had a few good jump scares but I think I was expecting something more like Cabin in the Woods... I don't regret watching it but would have waited to see it at home
