Meanwhile my fiancee has a Japanese copy of animal crossing and a Japanese copy of Clannad (lol limited run versions costing over twice as much) and as soon as they know the switch is a US region one, it swaps to English and you can't change it. Eh, I'm just going by the information I was given from that quick search, I can't actually verify anything.
