Maybe but I think a lot of people on the internet have a tendency to ask for stuff they're nostalgic over to come back and then not give anything that remotely channels it a chance because it's never going to live up to their memories of it. It's never going to be the same.That's definitely a fair assessment There does at least seem to be legitimate traction in the revival of classic style fps games though. Doom 2016/Eternal are movement based shooters (much more so Eternal than 2016 tbf) and they got huge accolades and pretty active online for awhile. The New Blood trilogy has generated quite a bit of buzz, with Dusk basically being Quake on steroids These types of games are definitely not without their dedicated fanbases, even if they're not huge.
