The BDSP Elite 4 is hard from the jump. They have strong teams and have some good AI. They even do strats that involve multiple Pokmon and even sub them in and out correctly. Even if you grind just the story you will be under leveled for them.

And once you get through the 4 you have to take on Cynthia which has an even higher level than the 4 and all her Pokmon are perfectly EV trained.

It was difficult but it was really fun for me when I played it. I had to put together a good team and have the right moves on the right Pokmon. And Ive played since Red. It surprised me but its one reason I really liked the remake.

But I like old school Pokmon design with modern enhancements which puts me in a non-vocal minority.
