Trailers are a tricky thing because it's also very possible to ruin a movie if you give too much information like the second trailer for Nope and especially Terminator Genysis.

oh for sure. i hate it when i watch a comedy and all of the best jokes were already shown in the trailers.

but OTOH, this one could have had some narrative explaining what's going on, even in the most vague of terms. "during the time before The Fellowship, a lone Elf warrior must convince those around her of the growing threat in order to save Middle Earth", or something, ya know?

anyway, i feel like i've totally derailed this topic by droning on and on about why i don't like the trailer, which isn't really even that important, lol.

i certainly hope the show is good, but the company making it didn't inspire confidence whatsoever, then we saw that trailer and now these reviews. i'm gonna wait until it's finished and if it actually tells a cool story, i'll watch the shit out of it.
