One more or less is. She came from a home where she had pretty much free access to food at all times and was apparently super fat, based on how much loose skin she has, but then she developed pretty severe hyperthyroidism that doesn't seem like it was treated very well (it may have been, but her owner died, so I'm guessing she went without treatment for a few months as he got sicker and after he was gone) and lost quite a bit of weight. Then we started treating her, and her weight like doubled in the span of a month, but eventually stabilized and now she generally doesn't eat more than she should (sometimes not even finishing the food we give her, even though she is generally quite food-motivated).

The other is not. For the longest time, he was pretty skinny, even getting kind of dangerously so when his IBS got so bad that he basically lost the ability to make solid poop, but since we fixed that he's been pretty steadily putting on weight and stealing the other one's food and now he's pretty tubby. We're trying to regulate his food, but it's a challenge with the other one (his food goes where she can't reach it, but he can go anywhere she can because she's 19 and he's 12) because we can't supervise her food 24/7.
