The speculation around the stock is unbelievable. The argument is that Tesla is "a tech company, not a car company", which might have been reasonable at one point. If Tesla was truly ahead of everyone when it came to self-driving then perhaps the valuation would be justified. But they aren't ahead of anyone and the tech seems to be another 20 years out.
