VIIs plot literally dissappears after midgar until half way through with the temple of the ancients.IXs plot always has engagement and objectives, no meandering like VII after Midgar. IXs characters are so goodeven the side characters like Beatrix and cid gets devolopment. VII the cast kinda just there, with cid, Vincent and yuffie having very little reason to be there. And Vincent and yuffie don't get any developments just backstory explained. Gameplay balance it's well known.
