We've seen it in Charlottesville, and we saw it during the Canadian truck protests. And time after time, some dick-for-brains goes "it's unfair to generalise the entire crowd based on one/a small group of bad faith actors". It's not like these poor misunderstood Republicans can control whether a bigot chooses to wave a Swastika flag at their event. Really, what are they expected to do?

Of course, those poor misunderstood Republicans do nothing about it. They get mad when people spread pictures of the people waving the flags, because you're tarnishing an innocent person's reputation and doxxing them and that's not okay, but they don't ask them to take it down or make efforts to distance themselves from an abject symbol of fascism and hatred. They don't call security, they don't tell the bigot that their solicitation is unwelcome and that they would prefer it if they left.

The same party that wants to imprison Antifa "members" and anyone associated with Black Lives Matter as a movement, the ones so devastated about concrete milkshakes and "the woke mob and their cancel culture", throw up their hands and tell us they can't do anything about someone who wants to fly a Swastika flag at their events.

But it's wrong to say that Republicans actively court neo-nazis and other bigots, because that's a gross oversimplification that smears too many people with too broad of a brush. It's simply not on to associate the American right wing with neo-nazis, when it's really this small handful of bad-faith actors making them look bad, that they refuse to shut down because that goes against the Republican beliefs of free speech. Y'know, despite the people who want to throw Antifa in jail. And the ones who think democrats are Satanic pedophiles who have blood orgies with children because scared kids produce a chemical they get high on.

So really, isn't the left the Orwellian one in this situation for asking them to rip the flag out of the hands of a neo-nazi and telling the flag bearer to go fuck themselves?

They've been doing this shit for years, and they keep going "not our fault, we can't do anything about it!" And then you get some shithead going "well it's unfair to conflate the right with neo-nazis!".

Look at Charlottesville. It was supposedly wrong to name and shame people who chanted "blood and soil" and who marched with Swastika flags, because they supposedly didn't represent the majority of the protestors. Look at the Canadian truck protests, where "one person flying a Swastika flag doesn't represent the entire cause". And now look at this Charlie Kirk event with Desantis and Trump.

Anyone with any amount of sense would tell you that one person waving a Swastika flag is too much. That one person appropriating symbols of genocide and bigotry for the purpose of advocating for their intended use needs to be kicked the fuck out of whatever group they're trying to advocate at. And time and time again, the right wing - initially the alt-right, but now the mainstream right-wing - have responded to that message with "we're not going to stop them, and you're a reactionary leftist if you conflate us with them for that". And as time has gone on and Republicans have buried their heads further into the sand at best or outright welcomed actual unabashed neo-nazis and white supremacists at worst - look at how many proud antisemites and bigots are waving flags associated with dictatorship and genocide.

So frankly, fuck that. Neo-Nazis have always sidled up to the right wing, and the American right is accepting of not only their beliefs, but their right to wave banners of hate and bring bigotry and hatred into their marketplace of ideas. When you freely allow these scum-sucking sacks of shit to advertise their desire for racial hatred and the scapegoating and murder of minority groups, you either become complicit in the violence behind those sentiments or you subscribe to them.

And because of the proximity that the American right has to white supremacy and neo-nazism? I'm comfortable freely associating the right wing with neo-Nazis.

If you don't want anyone painting one side of the political spectrum with "neo-nazi", maybe you should conserve some basic fucking decency and kick out the people OPENLY ADVERTISING THAT THEY'RE A NEO-NAZI. Until I see political cancers like Trump, DeSantis and MTG not only condemn these people and this behavior but act on removing them from their events, I don't think there's much of a choice.

Right-wingers, at best, are sympathetic to white supremacists and neo-nazis. I would say that enough right-wingers are mixed up in that shit that you might as well hear "white supremacist" whenever you hear "proud Republican voter". I'd ask you to change my mind, but I'd like you to do one better - take some action in disproving my point of view, because the alternative is to let it keep festering in your party (to own the libs, of course) and to keep yourself and your fellow right-wingers drifting into a world of absolute power, mass incarceration and genocide. It should have stopped at Charlottesville, but the inability to keep these fuckfaces at bay has let it evolve into this.

And if you think that's going too far, think about the guy at this exact same event asking Charlie Kirk when it's okay to turn their guns on the left. It's only an edgy, tongue-in-cheek joke until it happens, and we already saw what these evil motherfuckers will do in the name of their politics on January 6th, 2021. We are at the point where this shit needs to be identified, and it needs to be called out for what it is - a rise to fascism, with genocide against undesirables as the ultimate goal.

If you're a right-winger and you don't want to be compared to Nazis, white supremacists or other groups that thrive on authoritarianism and bigotry - fucking do something about the people your party welcome with open arms who are authoritarians and bigots.
