Well, pistols are super easy... The UH is going to have a Torgue barrel, so the other part to get is the Torgue grip and the Double accessory.

But you can also learn the 'bad' parts in order to avoid them. E.g. Hyperion barrels on non-Hyperion weapons are not going to do you any favors. On the flipside, Hyperion barrels on Hyperion weapons have their own hidden bonus: they quickly max out the accuracy of the weapon while providing a tighter bullet grouping. Prior to a major buff patch for Hyperion pistols it wasn't worth considering them if they didn't have a matching barrel.

A bit of a tangent, but The Pre-Sequel further split Hyperion weapons by having 'New' Hyperion and 'Old' Hyperion variants. The newer ones matched their BL2 specs, while the older 'Tassiter' models were less accurate and had slower firing rates but could hit like a truck. They were fun weapons for Nisha since her aimbot accuracy-increasing power overrode their drawbacks.
