The way your son is, is true for me as well, but I live in Los Angeles, so that probably changes things. There's rarely much that's within walking/biking distance. So as a kid, whenever I did something with school friends, one of our parents had to drive us. When I rode bikes with kids from my neighborhood, we never went farther than 2 blocks away.

My son is 7 now and same thing. If he goes to a park or something, it's by car.

Also, I always assumed the 89 in your username was your birth year. Surprised to see you're not also a millennial lol

Had to drop the e from Big Blue, because Im old enough to remember when AOL screen names could only be 8 characters. Lol

But I get that a lot. People thinking I was born in 89 bc of my screen name.
