If he thought making Tommy the leader wouldve brought in even slightly more cash, he probably wouldve found a way to make it happen. On the other hand, the "leader' role in Power Rangers was more of a formality than one with any real function. Changing the leader doesnt change the dynamic of MMPR in any significant way.
