It's just to catch people who think PEMDAS means that multiplication is always before division. not ooo so much as intentionally obfuscating which part of the fraction is the numerator and which is the denominator. there's a reason my answer to those questions is always "simply your fractions". math isn't actually written that way. --- Boom!
