The man may have been mentally ill, but he was irate and uncooperative, was apparently suicidal, may have had firearms on him and refused to exit the vehicle and attempted to use the vehicle as a weapon. Their reaction seems fair considering he was a threat to them and the public at large with the way he was acting. They get there and the guy is yelling nonsense about looking at his phone. Immediately the cops escalate things and point a gun at him. Which means the conclusion from this was pretty inevitable. Even when they do shoot him one cop specifically yells that he has a cane. His fellow officers shoot him anyway. Then they all do. Kinda seems like if you're calling up US police to get a man suffering a mental breakdown you're just sending in an execution squad. --- A Fallen Mascot ... Copied to Clipboard! |
