Abrams had no idea where the story was supposed to go after TFA, he just set things up since he knew it wouldn't be up to him to find the answers to those plot threads. So it doesn't matter which director took over afterward, it would have been a mess regardless since Disney themselves didn't think it was important to plan ahead. I just don't like when one person gets blamed for something when they were in a complicated position to begin with. But we probably don't need to continue discussing this for the thousandth time. Fastbreak posted... I get that you're a joke, but McAdams did fuck all in the movie She was at least more present than in the first film where I barely noticed her existence.
