I knew they were going to go the cancer angle, but I really thought it would just be a background thing in this movie and then explore it more or have her die in the next one.
Yeah, I appreciate on one hand that they didn't go the safe route, but on the other hand I really like Jane Foster this time around vs. when she was in Thor 1 and 2. I felt they could've done soo much more with her, especially the plot point of her suffering from cancer, they could've done more character development regarding it and what not. I think this time around I felt that Portman and Hemsworth had much better chemistry and wish I could see more of it in later films.
