It has white actors in blackface presenting black people in the worst light, depicts the Klan as freedom fighters, and was even considered racist at the time of release (one of the first major protests by the recently-formed NAACP). It also revitalized the KKK. It was a dead organization at the time and the white robes were made up for the movie. Before then the KKK just wore normal shit.
