The MCU has announced a ton of their future movies all the time.The context here between the two examples is way different. The MCU has a solid foundation that has been consistently built over time. Avatar was released in theaters in 2009(damn thought it was longer ago than that) but nothing since then, it's impact has largely vanished, so yeah I agree with this: viewmaster_pi posted... tbh it's not that i hate avatar or didn't enjoy the movie, it's more that i can't stand the whole "avatar 2, 3, 4 are on the way, you guys are gonna be blown away by 4 omg" and he's just assuming it deserves to be around so fucking long It does seem very arrogant for James Cameron to think that people would be excited to hear about 3 fricken sequels so long after the fact. --- Every time you read this, squirrels randomly burst into flames.
