Like it clearly took a lot of people a lot of time to make, which I don't want to disparage. But it looks like Checklist: the Video Game. It looks like a total chore. Some games can pull that off, like I mentioned. Nothing about Gotham Knights speaks to me in that way. Same bland superhero combat, same bland missions and combat encounters strung along in an open world environment. The open world looks incredible, I'd love to walk around and take it in, but the gameplay honestly repulses me. I don't like it. I can't speak for anyone else, but Gotham Knights feels more like a product than a game to me. The story snippet they showed feels so generic and boring. I just don't like it. That being said? I haven't played the Insomniac Spider-Man games, and they give me the exact same feeling based on what I've seen. I also haven't played the Arkham games outside of a few missions, which gave me the same feeling again. I'm just not into AAA superhero games - Injustice is okay, but even that has diminishing returns in the second game y'know. None of it rings true to me. It feels like a mindless chore to watch, let alone play. idk, maybe I'm just growing out of superheroes or something. --- People say friends don't destroy one another - what do they know about friends?
