At least from a dating site perspective, as a man, I realize there are issues on the female side of things. They get bombarded with something stupid like a 1 to 100 ratio. On the other side of things, as a man, I could match with 3 out of 100 women, and even though I don't consider myself bad looking, I won't get any responses from women at all, and I know some of them exist, as I used to see them when I was working retail. What's worse, is that some dating sites force you to pay just to see a profile, which is ridiculous. So even if someone matches with me, I can't see their profile. Or more annoyingly via Bumble, a woman will match with me, but not send the first message.

There was a great video on it I saw a couple weeks ago of a woman from I think Europe going on dating sites as a man to see how they are, and it really opened her eyes to the lack of interaction from a guys perspective. They could message 2-3 dozen women and maybe 1 will get back to them and then they will just randomly ghost, and that the amount of matches decreased greatly as the days progressed. The first day she would see a couple hundred women, the next day maybe 10, and from there onward maybe 1 but mostly 0.
