You know, say what you will about campiness vs. seriousness, there's a place for both, but I honestly think it's incredibly impressive that they basically stuck to the original 1996 script to a tee, and with just a few rewrites and touch-ups here and there they were able to elevate the game into a whole different class. Compare it to the recent RE remakes where there's really no identifiable dialogue that was kept from the originals unless it's to make a meme or direct reference.
