Maybe more acceptance for whatever mental illness causes it. I assume it's the same thing or same family of disorders that causes people to think they want to live as animals (in the serious way rather than just the fetish furry way) or amputate themselves. They have something where they feel a massive lack of identity and then some trigger event just causes them to latch onto a particular concept.
