I was never told it was false. People never answered my request if the character disliked it.
When I am told I was false and to shut up and accept it, I prefer to question why it is so. If it is childish to enquire, I am fine being childish.
But that conversation got forcefully shut down, so it is over now.

I mean, your argument that since they're gender neutral they'd be fine being referred to as "he" is just flat out illogical. It doesn't work like that in real life, and in fiction unless they're actually shown or said to be fine with it in-universe, it's nothing but a made up assumption. It's like saying since Peach still treats Bowser somewhat civilly despite being constantly kidnapped it means she'd be fine with you telling her you want to rape her to justify you saying that.
