The problem is that since they pull from so many sources, there are bound to be knowledge blindspots. Like Android 18 being able to absorb energy when that is intentionally a feature her and 17 dont have. I hear their understanding on Bleach characters is pretty bad too.

Then theres this tendency to rate speed based on dodging things, but NOT taking into account how characters can predict attacks. This character dodged lightning/a laser beam! So they are super fast!. No, they saw a dude aim a weapon and preemptively evaded.

And lastly. Their matchups are just shit lately. Who the hell put Korra against Storm? Why the constant Marvel/DC characters?

The fights arent bad. People itt are constantly bringing up Cloud vs Link as if they didnt go back and correct their amateur errors (tho the Sonic vs Mario rematch takes them back to stupid again). The real issues lie with bs like comic characters who have BS feats and are inconsistent being choosen.

When normal characters that dont have a million continuities are chosen, you get great battles like Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher.
