Doesn't mean I didn't do my hardest to get a high GPA and do what limited extracurriculars I could. Look, I'm not saying life is fair. I'm saying I've seen how little efforts my peers put into their school and work, and the idea that they have no control of their place in life as OP described is bullshit.
