Radical Red and RenPlat warmed me up to the crappy Gen 3 and 4 ones, and GF really stepped up their game with bugs from Gen 5 onwards. Actually, Karrablast and Larvesta are meh here but their evos are much better so I'll allow it. Overall, every line here at least one 6/10 minimum and I'm pretty harsh on ratings. Also, Paras is from a top 2 Gen 1 line. Zombie mushroom body horror thing is probably the best idea from a relatively concept-light gen, and both it and Parasect have a brilliant ugly-creepy-cute thing going on. I've used them a bunch in playthroughs and while I wish they were better, they're still very usable and will always be some of my favourites. Goes without saying that Joltik, Scyther and Yanma are all great lines too. Plus Venonat looks fuzzy and huggable.
