| GameGodOfAll 04/22/22 3:02:06 AM #1: | Potential Spoilers ITT. If you have any interest in the movie, just watch it. I remember seeing the American version probably on HBO when it came out. Was really blown away by it and I don't think I ever saw another movie like it back then. Did know what to even make of the last 40 minutes or so with how the pacing changed. Really stuck with me though. Just watched the original Austrian version just now and boy that movie holds up great. Looked at a few scenes from the remake just for comparison's sake and I'm inclined to give the nod to the 97 version since I liked the parents more. They felt more like real people rather than seeing Tim Roth and Naomi Watts. Might rewatch that version at some point to give a real comparison. This is one of those movies I can't recommend to most of my friends since they'd probably hate it and not trust future recommendations. What say you CE? Ya seen it?
