What bit Netflix square in the asshole is they didn't focus on quality AND quantity. They did either/or, instead of both. For a time, it was quality. But then quantity, which is why we ended up with absolute garbage that burned money.
Netflix shifted from giving customers what they want, to telling the customers what to want.
Microsoft keeps trying to do that, but the ensuing rage is gigantic enough to make them back off of X1 DRM or whatever, and every version of Windows finally becomes decent about two year in.
