| Paratroopa1 04/11/22 6:23:24 PM #28: | 6 and GAA2 are both great, top tier AA experiences, and it's worth playing 5 and GAA1 to get to them. GAA1 sucks, but at least it has a charming cast and really good animations and music to kinda get you through it. AA5 is a good palette cleanser for AA4 in my opinion - tries to get back to what the series does well, even if it ends up playing it a bit safe as a result. Not one of the better games but it's not bad. But AA6 and GAA2 are both superb. You shouldn't let displeasure with AA4 turn you off from the rest of the series; it was a weird misstep that I don't think the series ever repeated. (Except maybe with AAI1, which also isn't great, but that game is ALSO worth getting through to get to AAI2, another great game) 3 > 6 > 2 > 1 > GAA2 >>> AAI2 >>> 5 >>> GAA1 > LvW > AAI1 >>> 4 I've cooled off a little bit on GAA2 but it still belongs in the top tier - I'm pretty strongly settled on the rest of the ranking, and those >>>'s are really necessary to put the correct amount of distance between GAA1 and GAA2 because they're only separated by two games but they're not close in my opinion at all ...
