Topic	Saw Sonic 2 last night. Was a great fun movie. Spoilers!

From the way it sounds, he genuinely likes playing Dr. Robotnik. Tbqh it would feel a little weird having a movie with just Shadow as the antagonist and no Robotnik in sight. My wife threw out the possibility if Jim Carrey really does retire, maybe they can pull some weird horror shit where Stone is like "I love you so much that I want to become you ". That would be weird but I could see them don't that and differentiating by specifically calling him Dr. Eggman instead of Robotnik. Not my favorite solution but hell we'll see \_()_/ Actually, Agent Stone could probably create an Egg Robo as an attempt to mimic Dr. Eggman, like from Sonic 3, Knuckles' story.
