I'm 6' 4" (OK, OK, 6' 3 3/4") so I look down on you as well. :)

Anyways, I say it's regional. Most people aren't aware but people on the east coast are, on average, a couple inches shorter than 'upper midwesterners' for example. I flew to a conference with the New York DOT once and never felt like such a giant in my life. If you're less than 5' 11" in Minnesota you're kinda short. It might be 5' 9" in the east.

I actually think it's the opposite...here in NYC you have a larger sample size of people (height, weight, race, etc) and along with all the Skyscrapers/Tall Buildings so I think most here wouldn't blink twice if they saw really tall people...I'm 6'3, but I also see several people taller than me on a daily basis
