No offense to either of you, but this isn't good or practical advice for a casual player who just wants to play semi-seriously online but still have fun. This is the kind of thing you tell someone who's like "I want to become a pro-gamer no matter what."

Like, at the end of the day, it's a game. And losing ain't fun, especially if you're BTFO. Yeah, you're not wrong in saying that fighting people better than you helps you get better. But still, the last thing someone wants to hear is "Keep on losing". You can't get better from losing if losing discourages you and you stop playing altogether.

He's saying he wants to practice to get better, though, presumably to put up a fight against strong opponents. Not to say you can't progress by fighting equally and lesser skilled opponents. But it's probably far less efficient. I would say definitely, though I suppose I can't prove it lol.
