Last time we left off I was debating on running Deeproot Depths or finally going to Atlus. I decided on Deeproot.

Last night I finished up Deeproot Depths, Nokstella, and the Lake of Rot. I'm level 87 I think. I broke down and finally put points into Faith because Scarlet Rot sucks huge ass. I couldn't beat the dude at the platforms in Lake of Rot. I have him written down to go back to later. So I have my talisman that boosts based on strength, the spell that heals poison/rot, a basic damage spell, and a basic heal spell.

After Lake of Rot I FINALLY found a way to the area I asked about back right after launch. I have gotten to that plateau in the SW corner of Lurnia.

The Lake of Rot Boss, Astel, Naturalborn of the Void was kind of a cool fight. First time I get him to about 1/4 health. Second time 1/15th health or so. Fifth time I had him to where I swear he had probably 100 HP left. I got him on my 15th attempt or so.

Apparently I was missing whatever item took my slime ashes up to level 4 because after I hit 4 I was immediately able to do 5-10.

My main worry was being too OP for Atlus Plateau. Looking at the "recommended level by location" list on the Wiki (which I know is subject to change) Atlus Plateau is levels 60-80 while the Lake of Rot was 80-100. I'll probably be OP for Atlus.
