I have severe chronic depression and do have issues related to age, to the point where for the sake of my mental health I keep my age a secret.

I appreciate your kindness of spirit, but if you read the bulk of what this person has posted you can see their entitlement and privilege and lack of empathy, I again would argue that they don't deserve your good will.

I'll try to read you words as if they are addressed to everybody, but it's hard, because I agree with you it's a serious issue (I know all too well), but it being a serious issue is why it is upsetting for me that somebody is using it as a ground with which to troll.
