Yeah, it seems like the console to have for classic 2D fighters. Sega always did make fun arcade-style racing games.

Such an odd duck though. It beat Sony and Nintendo to the punch but doesn't really seem to get nearly the same amount of praise. I blame Sega of Japan and Sega of America's contrast of philosophies for tanking Sega's hope to conquer the console market.
Sega of Japan was expecting everybody to code in Assembly like they did for their arcade titles.

Most everybody that wasn't a Sega First party, used C++ and a large library of tools to make games.

Ergo, Sega of Japan was behind the times and was slow to get the tools out to everybody near launch.

Ergo, it took a LONG time before 3rd Party developers were able to use the power of the Saturn, even then, it was hard.

Also, Saturn was the FIRST Dual-CPU Console in history, that made things ALOT harder to program during an era of Single-Threaded programming that was the paradigm.
